Recognizing emerging professionals who have completed foundational studies and gained initial experience
Purpose
To formally recognize emerging professionals who have completed foundational studies and gained initial professional experience in education and training.
Requirements
Academic Qualification
Completion of a recognized diploma or undergraduate degree in education, training, or a related field.
Professional Experience
Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience in education, training, or related roles.
CPD Compliance
Demonstrated engagement in CPD activities (minimum 10 hours/year as a Student Member).
Documentation
Academic transcripts, employment letters, training reports, references, and CPD log.

Review Process
- Submit application through the CIET Member Portal
- The Membership Committee reviews documentation and verifies eligibility

Recognizing professionals with established experience and demonstrated competence
Purpose
To recognize professionals with established experience, demonstrated competence, and significant contribution to the education and training sector.
Requirements
Academic Qualification
Minimum Bachelor's degree in education, training, or related fields (Master's preferred).
Professional Experience
Minimum 3–7 years in education, training, educational management, or related roles.
CPD Compliance
Completion of CPD activities (minimum 20 hours/year as an Associate Member).
Professional Contributions
Demonstrated contributions such as projects, publications, workshops, or mentoring.
Documentation Required
- Academic certificates and transcripts
- Evidence of professional experience (employment letters, portfolios, references)
- CPD log showing 20+ hours completed
- Professional statement highlighting achievements and contributions
Review Process
- Submit application via the CIET Member Portal
- Membership Committee evaluates qualifications, experience, CPD compliance, and contributions
- Upon approval, promoted to Full Member with eligibility for leadership roles and advanced programs
Review Timeline
Full Member → Fellow (FCIET)
Recognizing distinguished leaders and thought influencers in the profession
Purpose
To recognize senior professionals with distinguished leadership, research, or policy contributions in education and training. Fellows are considered thought leaders and influencers within the profession.
Requirements
Academic Qualification
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in education, training, or related fields.
Professional Experience
Minimum 7–10 years of leadership or distinguished professional experience.
CPD Compliance
Completion of CPD activities (minimum 40 hours/year as a Full Member).
Significant Contributions
Publications, research, program development, policy advocacy, or mentorship leadership.
Documentation Required
- Degree certificates (Master's/PhD)
- Professional portfolio showcasing leadership, research, or policy contributions
- References from at least two senior professionals
- CPD log documenting 40+ hours per year
- Statement of impact and contributions to the field
Review Process
- Submit Fellowship application through the CIET portal
- Fellowship Committee conducts rigorous assessment of leadership experience, contributions, and CPD compliance
- Upon approval, attains Fellowship status with exclusive strategic advisory opportunities and global recognition
